These photographs were taken by Ashleigh Burke Coleman, she was kind enough to let my clay work into her home and so gracious to send me these gorgeous photos! Thanx Ashleigh! These are a mix of both functional and purely sculptural pieces. They really exemplify what I am interested in making with this material. The older pieces (taller stacked sculpture forms) were made in 2009 for my thesis show. They were built using pinch and coil method. I now have a smaller kiln and a wheel so that has dictated what I am making. Thus my more recent pieces made in 2015 I am using the wheel and commercial glazes…kinda interesting to see the progression of work over the last couple of years. I’ve changed and so has my work.
